It was a career day for Mason Gross and Tyler McGarry Tuesday.


Gross poured in 39 points, while McGarry was good for 26 points as the Patriots scored a season-high 90 points in the win over Wyoming Valley West.


WVW held a 3-point lead at the half, but scored 33 points in the third quarter to upend the Spartans. Hassan Maxwell was also in double-digits with 13. McGarry hit six threes in the win.


Jamie Calloway scored 32 points and Evan McCue added 24 for the Spartans. Pittston Area will host a first round game in the District 2 playoffs Wednesday.

Coughlin 28

Tyler McGarry and Mason Gross each totaled 17 points in the Patriots victory.

Pittston Area jumped out to an early lead and held Coughlin to just two second-quarter points and four third-quarter points.

Wyoming Seminary 60


Wyoming Area 51


Wyoming Area found itself down just four points at the half, and three after the third quarter. Wyoming Seminary charged with a 21-15 edge in the final period for the win.


Jeremy Zezza put up a team-high 24 points.


Brad Sedor scored 24 points as the Blue Knights earn the win. Seth Callahan, who scored his 1,000th point Saturday against Tunkhannock, also netted 24.


Evan Musto had nine points, while Ryan Murray had seven for the Warriors.
