The Misericordia University women’s lacrosse team wrapped up its trip to Puerto Rico with a 19-9 loss to Roanoke on Thursday.

Liz Mulvey and Kate Pagnotta led the Cougars with four goals each while Emily Hegner added a goal and an assist.

Misericordia (1-2) will host Hartwick on Tuesday.


Johnson and Wales 5, Wilkes 3

Matthew Reese went 3-for-3 at the plate, scoring two of Wilkes’ three runs as a late rally fell short in the Colonels’ loss to Johnson and Wales.

Tom Ring recorded the loss on the mound for Wilkes, going 5 2/3 innings and allowing five runs on seven hits.

LaRoche 9, Misericordia 2

Misericordia University baseball team fell to LaRoche in Fort Pierce, Fla.

Julian Faria led the Cougars with two hits, including a double.
