Last week’s action in the Back Mountain Little League:


RED SOX 15


YANKEES 5


Nate Ostroski opened the 2014 season Back Mountain Little League by pitching the Red Sox past the Yankees, 15-5, in a game that lasted just four innings.


Ostroski struck out four and allowed no runs in the win. Justin Finarelli pitched one inning and struck out all three batters.


Leading the offense for the Red Sox were Ryan Maloney, Drew Lojewski, and Ethan Kruger with doubles, Lucas McGeehan with a triple, and Justin Finarelli with a grand slam.


Drew Dickson and Cooper Lewis combined for five strikeouts on the mound for the Yankees. Lewis also added two hits in the loss.


DODGERS 12


PHILLIES 4


Luke Spencer banged out a double and a triple and Max Paczewski had three hits and got the win on the mound as the Dodgers beat the Phillies, 12-4.


Freddie Lombardo, Connor Morgan, Ty Federici, Andrew Battin and Matt Dolan all had hits for the Dodgers.


The Phillies hitting was lad by Alex Magdalinski with two doubles. Aidan Conrad, Xander Shaner and Logan Evanosky all had hits for the Phillies.
