The Pirates defeated the A’s, 12-7, to claim the Back Mountain Little League title.

Dylan Wesley led the Pirates pitching 5 2/3 innings and striking out eight A’s along the way. The Pirate offense was keyed with an eight-run fourth inning to blow the game open and provide the edge that the Pirates needed.

On offense, Joe Walser had two doubles and a single, going 3-4. Sam Zondolo, Will Youngman and Wesley all pitched in with two hits of their own and Mike Murray, Sam Barral and Nathan Salus all chipped in to help carry the offense.

The A’s offense was led by Frank Nockley and Jack Lukasavage who both had three hits and Will McCrum and Brett Ostroski who each chipped in with two. These four boys also pitched and combined to strike out nine Pirates in defeat.
