A timely sacrifice bunt by Gabby Rosenthal led Bob Horlacher to a 16-7 victory over West Point and split a pair of games played Friday in the Pennsylvania state 11-12 double-elimination softball tournament.

Rosenthal’s sacrifice in the third inning sparked a rally that gave Bob Horlacher the lead. Kassidy Shirtz went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBI in the victory, while K.C. Coole went 2 for 4 with a double. Bob Horlacher split the pitching duties in that victory between Sarah Kuderka, Megan Straley and Hope Jones.

That kept Bob Horlacher alive for today’s 11 a.m. game against Warrington Warwick.

And it followed a tough start to Friday, when Horlacher suffered a 3-1 loss to Exton in a morning game.

Hope Jones recorded nine strikeouts against Exton and Sarah Kuderka and Mackayla Quick each had doubles in the game - with Kuderka’s driving home the only run for Horlacher.
