Wells field hockey suffers first loss of the season at the hands of Keystone College who won 2-1 in overtime, on Wednesday, September 17. Brackney Brotsman and Kellina Yerrish each scored a goal.

Forward Tim Logan scored an unassisted goal at the 66:10 mark of the second-half to lift The University of Scranton past Lebanon Valley College, 2-1, in non-conference action on Wednesday, September 17.
The goal was Logan’s team-leading fourth of the season as the Royals improved to 3-1-2The University of Scranton wore down King’s College in a non-conference action Thursday, September 18 at Fitzpatrick Field.

Tennis

Bloomsburg University spoiled The University of Scranton men’s and women’s tennis season-openers Wednesday evening, defeating the Royal men, 8-1, while the Bloomsburg women posted a 9-0 shutout.
Scranton’s lone win was recorded by sophomore Carl Caceres.
Lady Defender Tennis Captures CSAC Win
Baptist Bible College women’s tennis team, notched their first win of the season after defeating Philadelphia Biblical University 7-2 Tuesday, September 16.

Kellie Bernard, Elizabeth VanderHeide and Mary Ganong all gathered two wins on the afternoon.
Ganong and VanderHeide teamed up in doubles for an 8-2 victory and went on to capture their singles match-ups. Bernard won her doubles match-up with teammate Kate Boger 8-0 before moving on to a two set win in her singles match.

Carrie Brame and Glenna Mead tallied wins in singles competitions to get the 7-2 victory.

Katelynn Wilson had a hand in both of the Crimson Eagle points. She teamed up with Danielle Hirsch to an 8-5 doubles win before grabbing a three set singles victory.
The Lady Defenders improve their record to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in conference. They will travel to Gwynedd-Mercy College Thursday to continue their conference run.

Volleyball

Seniors Jacqueline Pisano and Abby Barrett combined for 20 kills to lead The University of Scranton to a 3-0 victory over Marywood University at the Insalaco Arena Tuesday September 16.
