Ethan Egenski ignited Nanticoke’s offense with a triple and two RBI in the 5-2 victory over Mountain Top in the 9-10 baseball Tommy’s Pizza Corner tournament game Tuesday. Pticher Derek Cease got the win and chipped in two hits, including a double and two runs scored. Justin Spencer, Devyn Sura and Bryant Keegan all had singles and Gabe Josefowicz and Nick Matson also had RBIs for Nanticoke.

Adam Litchkofski and Zac Antosh both had two hits, including doubles. Nick Kreuzer, Ethan Stolz, Declan Palmiero all had singles for Mountain Top.

Hanover 19, West Side 8 (4 inn.)

Zachary Murphy hit two triples and scored three runs in the offensive outburst in the Hanover victory. Ashton Schiel also had an inside-the-part home run and scored twice. Brett Martinez had three hits and picked up the win for Hanover.

Anthony Sabecky had two hits and scored twice for West Side.

Back Mountain National 15, Plains 2 (4 inn.)

Will Youngman had two hits, including an inside-the-park home run, as Back Mountain National put on an overpowering performance in a 9-10 game of the Tommy’s Pizza Corner Tournament played Monday.

Mike Murray and Chris Killian each went 2-for-3 with a triple apiece and Nick Nocito also contributed two hits to the victory.

Ryan Novakowski and Jason Pahler both had two hits for Plains.

Legion 12 and Under

South Wilkes-Barre 11, Mountain Top 1

Ryan Maffei threw the second no-hitter of the tournament as South Wilkes-Barre (SWB) defeated Mountain Top. Maffei finished with 11 strikeouts and Anthony Macko and Dave Kasper each hit a home run to help on offense. Luke Bottger added two hits and Alex Sliker scored three runs for SWB.

Tyler Shedlock scored the only run for Mountain Top.
