TUNKHANNOCK - Chris Spellman recorded two aces, eight kills and six digs to lead Wyoming Valley West to a 3-0 victory over Tunkhannock in a high school volleyball match Tuesday.


Mark Burridge added 16 service points, six aces, six kills and four digs for Wyoming Valley West, while Sean McQueen added 19 service points and six aces in the win.

John Pictarzyk recorded nine kills and two blocks, while Ed Lukowski added 17 assists, one dig and one ace in Nanticoke’s loss to North Pocono.

Dallas lacrosse shut out Scranton Prep. Dallas’ defense was led by Casey McAndrew with 6 forced turnovers and George Pfeiffer with 12 saves in goal to help Dallas preserve the shutout win.


Matt Ross and Aaron Kliamovich had three goals each while Corey Metz chipped in with 2 goals as well for the Mountaineers offsense.


Crestwood 18, N. Pocono 1


Steven Roberts had five goals and five assists while Jay Popson also had five goals in the Crestwood win over North Pocono. Brian Collins contributed to the win with four goals and six assists.


GIRLS LACROSSE Lake-Lehman 16, Dallas 4


Alysa Adamsn scored eight goals while Mallory Wiulson and Aleah Blazick recorded three goals and two assists each in the Black Knights viuctory over the Mountaineers.


Cara Pricher and Katie Snedeker notched two goals apiece in the Dallas effort.
