CREEK TWP. — John R. Roberts of Lake Aleeda, was treated at Geisinger
Wyoming Valley Medical Center and released after sustaining injuries in a car
accident Wednesday morning.
   
Police said Roberts, 50, suffered a neck sprain when his 1987 Ford Bronco
flipped on its roof on Bald Mountain Road. The car struck a tree at the top of
an embankment.

Three face DUI citations
   
LUZERNE — Borough police have stopped three people in the past three days
for allegedly driving under the influence.
   
Wednesday around 3:15 a.m., patrolman Steve Bigus arrested a 34-year-old
Edwardsville man observed swerving his Pontiac Grand Am off Main Street.
   
Robert A. Byczek was taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital where a blood
alcohol analysis was done. Byczek had .164 percent alcohol, above the legal
limit of .10, police said. A citation will be issued, police said.
   
Tuesday, police arrested David Evans Brace of Bennett Street, shortly
before midnight on Kelly Street where he was driving his red Chevy Blazer on
the wrong side of the road.
   
Brace, 36, was transported to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital where a blood
analysis was conducted. Tests showed a .195 blood alcohol content, police
said. A citation will be issued.
   
Monday police arrested another man for driving under the influence when he
was observed heading the wrong way on Kelly Street.
   
Bruce Christian, 46, of Kelly Street, was taken to Wilkes-Barre General for
blood alcohol analysis. Tests showed a blood alcohol content of .202, police
said. A citation will be issued.
