Stearns will play baseball at Niagara University

Dallas High School senior Nigel Stearns has signed a letter of commitment to play Division 1 baseball at Niagara University. He will attend the College of Business at NU and pursue a degree in finance and play baseball.


Stearns has been a three-year starter on the Dallas High School varsity team as both a pitcher and a centerfielder and led the team with a batting average of .422 in his junior year.


In addition to his high school baseball career, Stearns has played on the Back Mountain American Legion team for two years and was selected by the coaches for the Wyoming Valley League American Legion All Star Team in 2013. T


This past year, hewas also a member of the Bloomsburg Storm Showcase team travelling the east coast throughout the summer and fall.


Stearns is the son of Thom and Laura Stearns.
