Richard John Lazar Jr. and Elena Pricoiu, together with their parents announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
The bride to be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Pricoiu, Toronto, Canada and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicolae Somoila, Romania and Mrs. Aurora Pricoiu and the late Mr. Nicolae Pricoiu, Romania. Elena is a 2003 graduate of George Vanier Secondary School. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering. Elena is employed by Microsoft as a software engineer.
The prospective groom is the son of Dr and Mrs. Richard Lazar, Plains, Pa. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Zielinski, Duryea and Mr. Andrew Lazar and the late Mrs. Eleanor Lazar, Hudson. Richard is a 2000 graduate of Seton Catholic High School. He graduated with honors from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. Richard is employed by Microsoft as a test lead.
The couple will exchange vows on August 8 at Saint Monica Church, Mercer Island, Washington.
