WILKES-BARRE — Local attorney Al Flora, Jr. was recently recognized for his 40-plus-year legal career, earning a spot on the Who’s Who Directories “Top Attorneys of North America” list for 2020-2021.
Flora Jr. has practiced criminal defense at the trial and appellate levels since joining the Luzerne County Public Defender’s office in 1980.
Over the course of his career, Flora Jr. has handled over 2,000 criminal cases and had 200 cases tried to a verdict. He’s argued cases and appeals at multiple levels of the justice system, from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Despite a focus on criminal defense, Flora Jr. has also represented clients in civil matters as well, winning cases involving malpractice in accounting, police misconduct and employment discrimination.
