HARVEYS LAKE – A one-vehicle crash on state Route 415 on Wednesday evening
injured five people, including several minors, emergency officials said.

A Jeep with five passengers crashed on Noxen Road just past the Blue Jay
trailer park at 7:37 p.m., according to police and fire officials. Deputy Fire
Chief David Davis said the Jeep was in the middle of the road. It appeared the
driver had lost control, swiped a telephone pole and spun out. Injuries ranged
from serious to minor, he said, and all required hospital visits.
The patients, whose identities were not available, were taken to area
hospitals including Community Medical Center in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre General
Hospital and Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. About 20 rescue personnel
and paramedics from communities including Harveys Lake, Noxen and Kunkle
responded, Davis said.

A small section of the road was closed off for about an hour, according to
police, who are investigating the crash.
