Zane L. Morgan, 69, of Nuangola, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at the Hospice Community Care Unit in Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Slocum Township, he was a son of Edith (Rinehimer) Morgan Connors, of Nuangola, and the late Lester Morgan. He was a graduate of Meyers High School in 1959 and was employed by the Certainteed Corporation in Mountain Top for 42 years, until his retirement in 2006.
Zane enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching his favorite ball team, the Phillies, and toughing out a round of golf with his sons.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his father, was his loving wife, Marlene Kaminski Morgan, who passed away in January of this year. Together, Zane and Marlene would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in April. Zane had many enjoyable years traveling and spending time with his inseparable partner, Marlene. He was also preceded by his stepfather, Charles Connors; and sisters Gloria Stucker and Doris Oldziekewski.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his sons, Mark Morgan and his wife, Judith, and their daughter, Rachel, Rice Township; Kevin Morgan and wife Theresa, Slocum Township; and Gary Morgan and his wife, Tammie, and their daughters, Chelsea and Sophia, Forty Fort; a brother, Michael Morgan, Nuangola; and a sister, Marlene Siegel, Rice Township.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday at the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
