‘THE PIED PAPER’


AT MUSIC BOX


“The Pied Piper,” an original musical for children, will be performed at 1 p.m. today, May 4; at 6 p.m. on May 9 and at 1 and 5 p.m. on May 10 at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville. School-day performances are at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on May 7 and 9.


Admission is $12 and includes a McDonald’s Fun Meal. Call 570-283-2195 for reservations.


BINGO PLANNED


Bingo will be held on Monday, May 5 at the Northmoreland Twp. Fire Hall in Centermoreland.


Doors open at 5 p.m. and early birds begin at 6:30 p.m. Food and beverage will be available.

ROUNDTABLE TO MEET


The Wyoming Valley Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 8 in the lower level of the Daddow-Isaacs American Legion, 730 Memorial Highway, Dallas.


The speaker for the evening will be Nathan McKenzie, of Benton, who will present his program on “Civil War Weaponry.”


Anyone attending the meeting who has a Civil War weapon is welcome to bring it and learn more about it.

HAM DINNER


A family-style ham dinner will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 with takeouts beginning at 4 p.m. at the Sweet Valley Volunteer Fire Co., 5383 Main Road.


Cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 11 and free for children under 6.


AUDITIONS


Auditions for “Nunsense A-Men” will be held at 7 p.m. on May 12 and 13 at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville.


The nuns’ roles are played by men. All roles open for men ages 16 and over. All are required to sing a song of choice and read from the script. Performance dates are June 12-15 and 19-22.

IREM SHRINERS


A country/western show featuring “Hillbilly D’Lux” will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 24 at the Irem Pavilion, 70 Ridgway Drive, Dallas.


Coors open at 6 p.m. and food and beverages will be available for purchase. Cost is $12 per person and proceeds will benefit the Irem Shriners.


ROAST BEEF


DINNER SET


A roast beef dinner will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28 at the Northmoreland Twp. Fire Hall in Centermoreland.


Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under the age of 12. Eat in or take out. Pay at door.
