Coordinator Lynn Jumper of Christ’s Community Clothes Closet talks about the ministry’s role in helping families in need at the West Pittston Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 317 Luzerne Street. The Clothes Closet offers men’s and women’s items labeled and sorted by size, including coats, tops, skirts, and shoes, as well as boys’, girls’, and infants, all free of charge. The Clothes Closet is open Mondays and Wednesdays 9-11 a.m., and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 6-8 p.m. For more information or if you would like to make a donation, call the church office at 654-2500. Everyone is welcome, and families need not be from the Greater Pittston area.

Christ’s Community Clothes Closet has announced holiday hours of operation. Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 – 11 a.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. The Closet closed on December 17 and will reopen on January 3.

This community clothes closet is located on the lower level of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church Building, 317 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. The closet can be accessed through the Parke Street entrance.

This is open to all in the community who are in need of gently used clothing without cost.

Additional information can be obtained by calling the church office at 654-2500.

At the former Seton Catholic High School in Pittston The Greater Pittston Kids Closet accepts new or gently used children’s clothes in sizes newborn to 14/16.

The closet is open to the public Wednesdays 9-11 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. and Thursdays 11-2 p.m.

Donations may be dropped off during closet hours or can be dropped off at the St. John the Evangelist parish center Monday through Friday 9-4 p.m.

The closet accepts out of season clothes and will gladly accept summer clothes.

Soup Sale
