The Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO) recently honored its supporters at the annual People Helping People celebration. Rich Kutz, Weinberg NE Regional Food Bank director, presented Joann Weaver of Exeter with the Pamela Thomas Volunteer Award. Ms. Weaver is a volunteer for CEO’s Food 4 Kids Program at the Schooley Avenue Apartments in Exeter. She serves dinner during the school year to the children in the complex and lunch during the summer months. Her volunteering goes above and beyond serving food as she is also insures the children have homework help, holiday parties and many other activities.
