State Rep. Marty Flynn, D-Lackawanna, will host the monthly veterans support program at his constituent service office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
“I’m proud to do what I can to help those men and women who served our country get the services they’ve earned,” Flynn said. “My office can help veterans get answers about state programs and help prepare forms, and even help point veterans in the right direction for federal benefits.”
A representative from the American Legion Service Office Outreach program is in Flynn’s office on the fourth Wednesday of every month to provide information on services available to veterans and their families. The American Legion representatives are available to discuss pensions and other compensation, education, health care and death benefits.
Legion membership is not required to take advantage of the help, but anyone interested in speaking to the advisers is recommended to schedule an appointment through Flynn’s office at 570-342-4348.
The legislator’s regular office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Jay’s Commons, 409 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
