The chance for rain and thunderstorms will linger in the Wyoming Valley heading into the weekend.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 59 degrees as of 6;54 a.m. Overcast skies lingered over head, and there could be some patchy dense fog before 9 a.m.
Otherwise, partly sunny skies are expected today, along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected today, and the high will be in the high 70s.
A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms will stick around until 10 p.m. tonight, followed by partly cloudy skies overnight. Tonight’s low will be in the upper 50s.
There will be a chance of showers and thunder storms after noon on Friday, with a high near 80 degrees. less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.
Friday night will, once again, bring the chance of showers and thunderstorms under mostly cloudy skies. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is expected. Friday night’s low will be in the lower 60s.
