Lake Winola club announces Lioness of the Year

Sue Toth, President Lake Winola Lionness received The Lionness of the Year, District 14H Award June 18 at the monthly meeting of the group.


She has held the position of president for more than eight years. Presenter of the award was District Governor William Metschulat, Division of International Lions.


Also in attendance were Joseph Skinner, Vice district governor elect, Abington Lions member and Kathy Metschulat, Zone B chairman, Jefferson Twp. Lions, as well as local members of the Lake Winola Lionness.


The Lake Winola group is a non- profit organization that participate in community activities. A local youth received a scholarship for his college education recently and sent a thank you note to the group. Another service the group provides are baskets for Valentine’s Day for members and local residents who members feel need cheeror recognition. The local supermarket, Marty’s Market donated oranges for the baskets.
