Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 4, Geisinger Health System employees, patients, their friends and families will film its 2013 version of the “Pink Glove Dance” at Geisinger Medical Center, Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, and Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Scranton.
The “Pink Glove Dance” is an annual national competition held by Medline, with the winner receiving $25,000 for a local breast cancer charity of its choice. This is the second year Geisinger has produced the video to pay tribute to its employees, community and cancer survivors everywhere.
The public is invited to participate in the taping in their local community. No dance experience is required – participants will be taught dance moves and be provided pink gloves. All ages are welcome, and pink attire is optional.
The 2013 video will be taped at the following locations:

In addition to the “Pink Glove Dance,” Geisinger is sponsoring several community initiatives to support breast cancer awareness, including pink football games for local high schools and the NEPA Race for the Cure on Saturday, Sept. 21 in downtown Scranton.
