The Lackawanna Historical Society will sponsor its Annual Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Century Club, 612 Jefferson Ave., Scranton. In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln, as portrayed by Jim Hayney, will make a special appearance and give a brief address. A cocktail hour will begin at 5 p.m. with dinner and program to follow at 6 p.m.
The program will also include a meet-and-greet with members of the Confederation of Union Generals, including Lt. General Winfield Scott, Major General George McClellan, General Henry Hunt, Major General John Gibbon, Brigadier General Alexander Hays, and Major General George Thomas. The generals will give a brief presentation on their roles in the Civil War and take questions from the audience. Tickets are $45 for members and $50 for non-members. Reservations are required by October 8.
