    Alexander Lipko, of Dallas, died Sunday night in Wilkes-Barre General
   
HospitalBorn in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary
Purcell Lipko.
   
He was a member of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre. He
was the past president of the R Club, the Tatra Club of Luzerne County, and
also the Pennsylvania Buisnessman’s Credit Union. He was a life member of the
Elk’s Club, Wilkes-Barre Lodge 109, and past chairman of the house committee.
He was Grand Master of Liberty Lodge of the Odd Fellows.
   
He was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors
Inc. He was the former assistant manager of Peoples clothing store. He was the
manager of Moskin’s in Altoona; Wilmington, DE; and Wilkes-Barre. He was the
owner of Al’s and Ray’s Apparel, Wilkes-Barre, and founder of Ye Olde Clock
Shoppe, Dallas.
   
He was preceded in death by brothers; Joseph; John; Samuel; and Michael;
and one sister; Elizabeth Barbieri.
   
He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Mikita; brothers, George,
Encino, Cal.; Andrew, Modesko, Cal.; Theodore, N.Y.; sisters; Margaret
Wartella, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Mary Mehlfelder, Hialeah, Fla.
   
The funeral will be 9 a.m. Thursday from Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main
St., Plains. A service will be at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox
Church, Wilkes-Barre.
   
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Greek Rite Cemetery, Dallas.
   
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Parastas service will be
7:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Very Rev. John Mason officiating.
   
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Holy
Trinity Memorial Fund.
