    Ida P. Goff, 86, of Osprey, Fla., a former summer resident of Harveys Lake
and Newberry Estate, Dallas, died Wednesday at her home near Venice, Fla.
   
Born Jan. 26, 1913, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late
Edward E. and Mildred Davis Pugh.
   
She graduated from Wilson College in Chambersburg, with a bachelor of arts
degree.
   
When she resided in the Wilkes-Barre area, she was active in numerous civic
and community organizations and was one of the founders of the Wilkes-Barre
League of Women Voters.
   
She was a member of the Venice Yacht Club in Venice, Fla., and was active
in boating most of her life. She was also an avid golfer and baseball fan.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Goff, in 1983, a
Wilkes-Barre area businessman who formerly was a partner in the Goff Lumber
Co.; brothers, Ronald and Les Pugh; a sister, Marjorie Pugh Keating.
   
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
   
Memorial funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 27 from the Harold C.
Snowdon Funeral Home, 140 N. Main St., Shavertown, with the Rev. Dr. Donald J.
Muller, rector of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Ba
