Sunday, November 01, 1998     Page:

Frank and I enjoyed a pleasant surprise visit from our Colorado friends,
Bob and Donna Bielenberg this past Tuesday. They were most impressed with not
only the fall foliage, but with the elaborate Halloween decorations adorning
some of our neighbors’ homes. I have to say no place I have ever lived
(California-

northern and southern, Illinois, Missouri and Colorado) gets into the
spirit of any holiday like the folks up here in Northeastern PennsylvaniaI’m
sure when I get home from church this afternoon ghosts and goblins will be
replaced with turkeys and pilgrims. Our house is never quite so decked out,
I’m afraid. I just can’t keep up with it! Thanks to all of you who do … it
helps put all of us in the mood for the season, whatever it is!
