SHIPPENSBURG – Lake-Lehman won the 2007 Shippensburg University Track and Field Invitational in the Girls Class AA division on Saturday. Dallas finished fifth in the 35-team event.
Kelsey Amy finished third in the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash and second in the long jump for Lake-Lehman. Jamie Lipski finished second in the 400 and third in the 800. Tina Watkins finished third in the 300 hurdles.
Paige Selenski took first in the 100 and the 200 for Dallas.
Lindsay Kopenhaver won the pole vault for Hanover Area, which finished in 16th place overall.
Meyers freshman Ashley Ward broke a 25-year-old school record in the high jump, placing third with a mark of 5-feet-2.
Baseball
Bishop Hoban 14, Meyers 11
Ryan Knowles led Bishop Hoban (3-3) by going 3-for-3 with two RBI and four runs scored. Ryan Cavanaugh added a hit and two RBI.
Dwight Smith went 3-for-3 with three RBI and a home run to lead Meyers (1-5).
Nanticoke 5, Bishop O’Reilly 2
Ryan Bevan hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning to push the Trojans (2-4) to their second win in as many days.
Dan Olzinski struck out nine and earned the win.
Devin Albrecht was 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI for the Queensmen (0-6).
Seton Catholic 11, West Side Tech 1 (6 inn.)
Pitcher Chris Iorio (2-for-4, 4 RBI) hit a three-run homer to end things in the bottom of the sixth.
Joe Dorbad (3-for-4, 2 RBI) and Dave Scarnato (2-for-3, 2 triples, 2 RBI) also had big days for the Eagles (3-1).
Nick Bednar started for the Titans (1-5) and struck out six.
Bishop Hafey 19, Wyoming Seminary 1 (3 inn.)
Ian Owens (4-for-4, double) and Jeremy Wizeman (2-for-3, 2 doubles) each drove in three runs, as the Vikings (3-2) scored 15 runs in the top of the third.
Jon Janerich scored the lone run for the Blue Knights (3-3).
Dallas 4, Hazleton Area 1
Senior catcher Greg Harris had a big day at the plate for the Mountaineers (2-3), hitting a solo shot to tie the game in the fourth and following it up with an RBI double in the fifth.
Tom Parrish picked up a complete game victory.
Ryan Kukowski drove in a run for the Cougars (0-5), while Matt Kline fanned four in the loss.
Softball
Dallas 4, Hanover Area 0
Marley Chintalla went 1-for-3 with a double to lead Hanover Area in the loss.
Dallas 7, Northwest 1
Allie Evans was 3-for-3 with two home runs and threw 10 strikeouts with only two walks to lead Dallas to the win.
Michele Cragel was 2-for-3 for Northwest.
Berwick 1, Wyoming Area 0
The Dawgs triumphed in a pitcher’s duel when Kim Galutia (2-for-2) scored from third on a wild pitch in the third inning.
Talia Williams went the distance for the win, striking out nine.
Girls Soccer
Dallas 3, Crestwood 0
Lynsey Ellis, Ellen Arnaud and Julie Manorek each scored a goal for Dallas, which outshot Crestwood 21-3. Jill Spring had three saves in net.
Kylie Henry had 13 saves in goal for Crestwood.

Baseball
Misericordia 11-10, Eastern 7-3
Ryan Savka led the Cougars in the opener with two hits and four RBI. Steve Peet struck out six to earn the victory.
Jamie Philippi struck out eight to earn the complete game victory in the second game.
King’s 7-6, Scranton 2-18
Caleb Calarco tossed a four-hitter as King’s won the first game, but the Monarchs committed seven errors in the nightcap as the Royals rebounded for a victory.
Softball
Misericordia 11-10, Marywood 3-2
Kristen Norris hit a three-run double and Jess Klimashit a two-run double as Misericordia scored seven runs in the first inning of the opener. Jen Gehman led Misericordia with two doubles and three runs scored in the nightcap.
Wilkes 2-3, FDU-Florham 1-4
Laurie Agresti allowed only four hits and struck out 15 to lead the Lady Colonels to the eight inning win in the opener.
Alex Ingram and Plank had two hits each to lead Wilkes at the plate.
King’s 4-10, Drew 1-2
Kelsey Shreaves picked up the win for King’s in the opener, scattering 10 hits while striking out two batters.
Amanda Rizner improved to 8-2 in the circle with a strong two-hit effort in the nightcap.
WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Misericordia 15, Cedar Crest 8
Amanda Felte had four goals and two assists to lead Misericordia.
Shannon Tinkham had three goals and an assist.
Moravian 19, Wilkes 5
Ashley Leggio had two goals and goalkeeper Carrie Stolarick finished with 15 saves for Wilkes.
King’s 10, Widener 8
Lindsay Sabo scored four goals as King’s overcame a 7-6 deficit in the final 14:33 of play.

Kevin Malkin scored three goals to lead Misericordia. Sean Collins had two goals and two assists.
MEN’S TENNIS
King’s 5, FDU-Florham 3
Mike Portonova, Nick Hojsack and David Kaluzavich all picked up singles victories for King’s to clinch the Freedom Conference semifinal match. The Monarchs will play top-seeded Drew at 2 p.m. today for the conference title.
Drew 7, Wilkes 1
Kyle Ungvarsky and Matt Kenney won at No. 1 doubles to posts Wilkes’ only win in a Freedom Conference semifinal match.
TRACK AND FIELD
Misericordia strong at ESU
Sue Bochnovich set a pair of school records, finishing third in the 200 and the 400 while qualifying for the ECAC championships in both events.
Eric Rogers (long jump) and Jeff Ward (1,500) also qualified for ECACs.
