    Leonard Wisnefski, 70, of West Church Street, Nanticoke, died Monday night
at
   
Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-BarreBorn in Buttonwood, Hanover Township, he was
the son of the late Adam and Helen Brodowicz Wisnefski. He moved to Nanticoke
in 1961 and was a member of Holy Trinity Church. He was employed as a gas
station attendant for Syrco Service Station for 20 years, later working at
City Chevrolet, retiring in 1984. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He
was a member of the American Legion Post 350, Nanticoke.
   
He was preceded in death by brothers, Stanley, in 1968; Daniel, in 1992;
sister, Ethel Wisniewski, in 1972.
   
Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Stephanie Kozak, Mrs. Lillian Czekaj, Mrs.
Joseph (Angeline) Westbrook, Miss Violet Visnetski and Mrs. Rose Marie
Witinski, all of Nanticoke; several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Grontkowski Funeral
Home, 51-53 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30
a.m. in Holy Trinity Church.
   
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
