Matilda Sunday, 92, of New Grove Street, Wilkes-Barre, and formerly of
Gilligan Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Sunday at the Kindred Hospital Wyoming
Valley at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
   
Born June 15, 1911, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Joseph
and Catherine (Huhsteiner) Kneidinger. She attended St. Boniface Parochial
School and was a member of St. Boniface Church, Wilkes-Barre. She was employed
in local silk mills.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J.; daughter, Matilda
Stoodley; brother, Louis Kneidinger; sisters, Mary Steininger and Anna
Schichl.
   
Surviving are her daughter, Dolores Pavloski, Wilkes-Barre; son, Robert,
Wilkes-Barre; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph
Kneidinger, North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sisters, Pauline Genduso, Crete, Ill.;
Catherine Steininger, Crown Point, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   
Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family from the
Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, Park Avenue and South Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a
Funeral Mass in St. Boniface Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery,
Hanover Township.
   
There will be no calling hours.
   
Memorial donations may be made to St. Boniface Church.
