Spaghetti and Pasta Dinner 4-6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church, 905 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre. A choice of five pastas including whole wheat spaghetti, and seven sauces with chicken or sausage, salad, dessert, and beverages will be sold. Takeouts are available. Barbecued Chicken Dinner 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, Noxen United Methodist Church, Route 29, Noxen. Cost is $8. Takeouts available.

Food Court, sponsored by McKendree United Methodist Church, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday during the Shickshinny Lake Community Yard Sale at the home of Don and Gloria McVey, 32 Seneca Drive, Shickshinny Lake. Bacon, sausage, cheese and egg wraps, brisket sandwiches, barbecue, soup, hot dogs, as well as homemade cakes, pies and pastries, and beverages will be available.

Community Lunch Program for White Haven Residents 1 1:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 418 Berwick St., White Haven. This ministry is supported through generous donations. Church membership is not required. Doors open at 10 a.m. for coffee and close at 1:30 p.m. Families are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers are needed. Pirohi Sale runs through June at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 20 Madison St., Wilkes-Barre. Pickup orders from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesdays or 10-1 1:30 a.m. Sundays in the social hall. Potato pirohi are $5 and cabbage cost $6. To place orders, call 829-9288.

Strawberry Social 4-6 p.m. June 2, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 100 Rock St., Hughestown. Donation is $5 for strawberry shortcake and a beverage. Wimpies, hotdogs and salad are also on the menu. Takeouts served 4-4:30 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will aid cancer patient the Rev. Rick Rock, pastor of St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church. Homemade Pizza Sale noon-6 p.m. June 4, First United Methodist Church of West Pittston, 408 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston. Baked and unbaked pizza with or without onions is available for $10 per tray.
