    Podehl makes dean’s list
   
at Temple University
   
Sarah Podehl, a freshman pharmacy student at Temple University, was
recently named to the dean’s list for the fall semester. The daughter of Ned
and Betsy Podehl earned a grade-point average of 3.56 on a 4.0 scale. She is a
1998 honor graduate of Dallas High School.

Pomrinke earns perfect
   
4.0 at Neumann College
   
Melissa Pomrinke, a graduate student at Neumann College in Philadelphia,
recently earned a 4.0 grade-point average for the fall semester. The daughter
of Jon and Glenda Pomrinke, of Dallas, will graduate in August with a master’s
degree in physical therapy.

Hoprich, Wilt
   
named to dean’s list
   
Two Back Mountain natives were among the 377 students recently named to the
dean’s list at Lycoming College for the fall semester of the 2000-01 academic
years.
   
Sweet Valley resident Stephen Hoprich and Wyoming resident Heather Wilt
earned a grade-point average of at least 3.5. Hoprich is a chemistry major,
while Wilt majors in biology.

Levinson serving as
   
Bates College representative
   
Dallas native Jeffrey Levinson is serving as a member of the Representative
Assembly for the Bates College student government. The RA is a forum for all
students to voice their opinions and address issues of campus life. Levinson,
a freshman, represents his residence house in the RA.
   
The son of Howard and Susan Levinson is a 2000 graduate of Dallas High
School.
   
BACK MOUNTAIN
   
Coach makes dean’s list
   
at University of Iowa
   
Shavertown native Jennifer Anne Coach was recently named to the dean’s list
at the University of Iowa for the winter semester. Dean’s list students at the
university must maintain a minimum 3.5 grade-point average. Coach is a student
at the university’s college of liberal arts.
