    Joyce C. Blannett, 56, of Brown Street, Hanover Township, died Friday in
the
   
Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, where she had been a patient for the past
two daysBorn Nov. 7, 1938 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of George and
Gertrude Cole Dettmore of Wilkes-Barre.
   
She was a 1938 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School and Wilkes-Barre
Business College.
   
She was employed by the Pennsylvania Gas & Water Co. as a collection
specialist for the past 33 years.
   
She was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church in Wilkes-Barre,
serving as membership secretary and as a member of the choir.
   
She was past president of the Hanover Area Band Parents and was past
president of the Youth Council of the Wyoming Valley Council of Churches. Most
recently, she had been a member of the of the Auxiliary of the Geisinger
Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township and was the representative to
the Credit Union of the Pennsylvania Gas & Water Co.
   
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Albert P.; sons,
William, at home; Albert P. Jr., Wyoming; one granddaughter.
   
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday from the Luther M. Kniffen Funeral
Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with services at 11 a.m. in the Albright
United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert G. Wood, pastor, will officiate.
   
Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
