    Philip E. Geiger, 62, of Beacon Drive, Harrisburg, died Monday at Community
   
General Osteopathic Hospital, HarrisburgBorn in Danville, he was the son of
the late Elmer F. and Clara Yeager Geiger.
   
He was employed as a security guard for the Burns International Security
Co. at the Nationwide Insurance Company, Harrisburg.
   
He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Non-Commissioned
Officers Association, the Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers and the American
Association of Retired Persons.
   
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, receiving a Bronze Star and
Purple Heart. He was a prisoner of war.
   
He and his wife, the former Marjorie Williams, celebrated their 39th
wedding anniversary on July 9, 1993.
   
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Philip Jr., Wilkes-Barre;
John, Chester; James, Gary, Steven and Tim, all of Columbia; daughter, Brenda
Geiger, Columbia; sisters, Peggy Toolan, Morrisville; Nancy Puskar, Plains;
Joan View and Helen Geiger, both of Wilkes-Barre; Judy Ent, York; brothers,
Robert, Ephrata; John and William, both of Wilkes-Barre; 10 grandchildren; one
great-grandchild.
   
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family from the John E.
Kraft Funeral Home, 31 S. Eighth St., Columbia.
   
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart
Association, Capitol Region Division, Pennsboro Center, 1019 Mumma Road, Suite
200, Wormleysburg, 17043.
