The Abington Heights boys soccer team received the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) Team Academic Award for the fourth consecutive season.

The NSCAA is the largest coaching association of any sport in the United States.

The award is given to programs that exhibit exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2012-13 academic year.

Abington Heights is the only boys program in Northeast Pennsylvania recognized for this award, and one of seven boys soccer programs in the state of Pennsylvania .

The team earned a 3.46 GPA based on a 4.0 scale during the 2012-13 academic year.

Thirty-five of the 43 members of the boys varsity and junior varsity soccer program were named to the school’s honor roll during the first quarter this fall, which was announced last week.
