Keystone College men’s cross country runner Justin Clarke, a graduate of Lackawanna Trail, recently became one of 228 men to earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic accolades. Recipients of this award must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater and must have finished among the top 25 percent at their respective regional championships.
Clarke, who sports a 3.70 cumulative grade point average with a major in wildlife biology, was previously named to the USTFCCCA Mideast All-Region team after placing 20th out of 364 runners at the 2013 NCAA Mideast Regional Meet with a school record time of 25:22 on the 8K course on the campus of Lehigh University.
The junior was also a First Team All-CSAC honoree after finishing third at the conference championships to help Keystone to a runner-up finish in the overall meet. Clarke was named the CSAC Runner of the Week three times this past fall and was selected to the conference’s weekly Honor Roll twice. Clarke was the individual champion at both the Highlander Invitational hosted by Cairn University and at the CSAC Championship Preview Meet in the fall.
