Keystone College’s softball team has been selected to finish sixth in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) this spring in a preseason coaches’ poll.

The Giants earned 76 points in the voting after going 24-21 overall last season and 13-9 in conference play, qualifying for the CSAC playoffs where they won three games as the six seed before finishing as the CSAC runner-up after dropping a pair of games to Neumann University, who was selected as 2014 preseason favorite.

Keystone opens the 2014 season with their annual Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., where they will kick off the season on Sunday, March 9 against Blackburn College.

The CSAC softball slate gets underway in earnest March 21-22 and culminates in the six-team conference tournament which begins Wednesday, April 30 with two single-elimination first round games at the No. 3 and 4 seeds. The four remaining teams will participate in a double-elimination tournament at the site of the highest seeded team May 2-3.
