CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Tyler Hansbrough scored 17 points in his final home game to help No. 2 North Carolina beat seventh-ranked Duke 79-71 Sunday and win the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title.
Ty Lawson added 13 points and several key plays late for the Tar Heels (27-3, 13-3), who earned the top seed for next week’s league tournament in Atlanta. North Carolina shot 53 percent for the game and led most of the second half for its sixth win in seven meetings with Duke.
Jon Scheyer scored 24 points for the Blue Devils (25-6, 11-5), while Kyle Singler added 23.
No. 8 Michigan St. 62, No. 19 Purdue 51
EAST LANSING, Mich. — Kalin Lucas scored 21 points to help Spartans win their fifth straight game heading into the Big Ten tournament.
The Spartans (25-5, 15-3) already had clinched the outright conference title. They scored nine straight points early in the second half to break open a tight game, and pushed the lead to as many as 14 in the second half.
Purdue (22-9, 11-7) dropped to the third seed in the conference tournament behind Michigan State and Illinois.
No. 10 Wake Forest 96, No. 18 Clemson 88
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — James Johnson scored 17 of his 21 points in the second half to lead No. 10 Wake Forest to a comeback win over No. 18 Clemson.
Johnson hit his first eight shots and finished 10-for-14 from the field, while the Demon Deacons (24-5, 11-5) shot 60 percent in their fourth straight win to secure the No. 2 seed for the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.
Al-Farouq Aminu also scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Wake Forest.
Demontez Stitt scored a career-high 21 points and K.C. Rivers also scored 21 for the Tigers (23-7, 9-7), who lost for the third time in four games and will limp into the ACC tournament as the No. 5 seed.
No. 24 Florida State 63, Virginia Tech 53
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Toney Douglas scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half, helping give the Seminoles their first opening-round bye in the ACC tournament.
Douglas, the top scorer in league play at more than 23 points per game, scored 12 points in just over four minutes after the Hokies pulled within 45-42.
Florida State (23-8, 10-6) led 32-25 after a ragged first half.

Charleston 59, Davidson 52.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Tony White Jr. scored 17 points and Andrew Goudelock added 12 points in the second half as College of Charleston beat Davidson in the Southern Conference tournament semifinals.
The Cougars (26-7) advanced to tonight’s title game against Chattanooga.
Davidson (26-7) reached the Elite Eight of last year’s NCAA championships, and would have assured themselves a tournament berth with the SoCon title. Now, the Wildcats will have to wait and see.
Wisconsin 85, Indiana 61
MADISON, Wis. — Joe Krabbenhoft scored 19 points in his final home game, helping Wisconsin (19-11, 10-8) clinch a first-round bye in the Big Ten tourney with a rout of Indiana.
