Josephine H. Mastrini, 85, of Plains, died January 31, 2010 at the Hospice Community Care, Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen Tadjewski Jutkiewicz. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Plains and its Altar and Rosary Society and was a graduate of Plains High School. Prior to her retirement, she had worked at the Wilkes-Barre Throwing Co, the Golden Palace, Parsons and George Balliet and Sons, West Nanticoke.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 51 years, Louis T. Mastrini, on Jan. 20, 1999; and brothers John Jutkiewicz and Kenneth Donlavage and brother-in-law George Balliet.

Surviving are her sons, Dr. Louis Mastrini and his wife Martina, Dallas and Thomas Mastrini and his wife Debbie, Forty Fort; grandchildren Leigh Ann, Louis, T.J., and Nicole Mastrini; a sister Theresa Balliet, West Nanticoke; nieces and nephews.

Funeral was Feb. 3 from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, Exeter with a Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Plains. Interment parish cemetery.
