FACTORYVILLE — A late inning surge led Lackawanna Trail to a 9-3 win over Blue Ridge in a Lackawanna League Division 4 baseball game May 8.

The Lions struck for six runs over the final three innings to pull away from the Red Raiders.

Trail pitcher Bryan Tuft scattered three runs on four hits over seven innings for a complete game victory.

Shortstop Liam Dougherty led the Lions with three hits, including two doubles. Designated hitter Jared Phillips contributed two doubles and two RBI’s in the win.

Lackawanna Trail (7-2) will travel to play Blue Ridge today at 4:30 p.m.
