Keystone College baseball team claims conference championship

The Keystone College’s baseball team claimed its sixth straight Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship on May 10 with a 7-1 victory over Gwynedd Mercy University at Christy Mathewson Field.


The Giants, who have won 17 of their last 18 games, improve to 27-12 overall while securing the CSAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Rob Blanc tossed eight scoreless innings of two-hit baseball. Lymbel Guerrero was named the CSAC Championship MVP after going 3-4 with a solo home run May 10 while finishing the tournament 8-15 with two home runs, seven RBIs, and seven runs scored. Rick McLaughlin went 3-4 with three RBIs and finished just a home run shy of the cycle in the title game.
