Scranton Prep head basketball coach Andrew Kettel will host a basketball camp at the school’s St. Francis Xavier Center from Monday, July 7 through Thursday, July 10.
The Scranton Prep coaching staff and several players will provide instruction.
Session 1, for boys and girls in kindergarten through third grade, will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and the cost is $60 per camper.
“We will teach them the fundamentals of the game and hopefully get them to become more interested in basketball,” Kettel said. “We want them to know it’s a fun game to play and grow their love of the sport.”
Session 2, for boys and girls in grades four through nine, will run from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and the cost is $75 per camper.
“The goal will be to find each player’s weaknesses and improve on them,” Kettel said. “We’ll show them drills they can take home and improve their skill set on their own.”
Players interested in attending the camp can email Kettel for a registration form at email@example.com. Pre-registration is preferred, but registration will be open until the first day of camp.
Each player will receive a Coach Kettel Basketball Camp basketball courtesy of Toyota of Scranton and Electric City Kia.
Kettel hosted a basketball camp at Backcourt Hoops the previous three summers.
