Railriders matchup with Rochester rained out

Rochester, N.Y. – The series finale between the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders and Rochester Red Wings was postponed due to rain on Sunday afternoon. The teams will make the game up when they meet in Rochester on Aug. 23 at 4:35 p.m.


With the postponement, the RailRiders will have a three-day All-Star break starting Monday. They enter the short hiatus with wins in three of their last four. Jose Pirela, won’t get time to relax. The infielder will start for the IL’s best at second base against the PCL’s All-Star squad on Wednesday in Durham, N.C. The RailRiders open an eight-game road trip the next day in another North Carolina city, Charlotte.
