BERWYN — Kingston/Forty Fort needed only five innings to get through New Bethlehem in a 14-0 victory Wednesday in the Little League Junior Softball state tournament. KFF advances to face West Point today at 2:30 p.m. at the Berwyn-Paoli Little League field.

KFF’s Audi Welles and Mel Raskiewicz combined for a one-hitter with eight strikeouts.

Melinda Holena, Paytone Boler and Katie Rincavage each collected multiple-hit efforts. Morgan Klosko, Tia Margiewicz, Lauren Pizano and Mandi Zawadzski all had strong performances for KFF.



Bob Horlacher 8,

Swoyersville 2

Zach Capitano and Zach Strazdus combined for a two-hitter for Bob Horlacher. Capitano had a home run, and Strazdus added two hits and two runs. Mike Milbrodt chipped in with two hits.

John Sarris and Anthony Bayo produced each of the two Swoyersville hits. Nick Bayo and Rich Kolesar tallied a run apiece.
