The NEPA Miners will play their second and final pre-season/non-league game Saturday,July 13 at 7 p.m. versus the New Haven Venom at Scranton Memorial Stadium.

The Miners 0-1 in the pre-season lost a 13-3 defensive battle versus a top-ranked Western Connecticut Militia team where the Miners moved the football but could not overcome their mistakes. After a long one-month layoff, the Miners hope they have fixed their mistakes and improved between practice and new player signings.

The New Haven Venom will be looking to build off their 48-0 inaugural game last weekend versus the Hudson Valley Cowboys.

Miners head Coach Darrin McDowell says, “I expect our offense and entire team to play much better and ultimately win after the work we have put in since our first game.”

Tickets to the game can be purchased in advance at Sports Fever inside the Mall at Steamtown including season passes or online at nepaminers.com.
