Ashley Elizabeth Nardone and Robert Joseph Jevin III were united in marriage on Aug. 3, 2013, at St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception, Wilkes-Barre. Monsignor Thomas V. Banick officiated the ceremony.


The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Mary Nardone, Kingston. She is the granddaughter of Josephine Nardone, Wilkes-Barre, and the late Alfonso Nardone.


The groom is the son of Tracy Varvaglione, Forty Fort, and Robert Jevin Jr., Orlando, Fla. He is the stepson of Cosimo Varvaglione, Forty Fort. Robert is the grandson of William and Gail Sanguiliano, Swoyersville, and Phyllis and Robert Jevin Sr., Orlando, Fla.


The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. Kristen Cantarella, friend of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Friends of the bride, Melanie Koslosky and Vanessa Dawley, along with Angela Serafin, cousin of the bride, served as bridesmaids. Lindsey Serafin was the flower girl.


Philip Jevin, uncle of the groom, served as the best man. Friends of the groom, Joseph Kanor, Michael Sulkosky and David Thibodeau, served as the groomsmen. Ushers were friends of the groom, Chad Seltzer and Nick Katchur. Brothers of the groom, Justin Varvaglione, Patrick Jevin and Matthew Starkey, served as junior ushers. William Bartolomei was the ring bearer.


Scripture readings were given by Monica Nardone, sister and godmother of the bride, and Shelley Bartolomei, aunt and godmother of the groom. The cantor was Stephanie Sullin and the soloist was Nick Katchur, both friends of the bride and groom.


A bridal shower was hosted by the mother of the bride at the Knights of Columbus, Luzerne. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the mother and stepfather of the groom at Leggio’s Italian Ristorante, Wilkes-Barre. Following the ceremony, a cocktail hour and reception were held at the Knights of Columbus, hosted by the bride and groom.


Both Ashley and Robert are 2007 graduates of Wyoming Valley West High School, Plymouth.


The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in dance at Marywood University in 2012. She is employed at Wyoming Valley West and Wyoming Area school districts as a substitute teacher. Ashley choreographs and directs children’s musicals at the KISS Theater Company, Wilkes-Barre. She also teaches a weekly dance class and runs a summer dance camp at KISS.


The groom is a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2011. He is employed by the Commonwealth as a civil engineer hydraulic in the waterways and wetlands program with the Department of Environmental Protection, Wilkes-Barre. Robert also helps Ashley with her musicals by working as a counselor at the KISS Theater Company.


The couple honeymooned at the Tamarijn All Inclusive Resort in Aruba. They reside in Forty Fort, where they recently purchased a new home together.
