Allison Ann Zielinski and Christopher Joseph Yonki were united in marriage on Dec. 1, 2012, by the Rev. Joseph Verespy in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zielinski Jr., Dupont. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zielinski Sr. and Mrs. Frances Dulny and the late Mr. Frank Dulny, all of Dupont.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Yonki, Hughestown. He is the grandson of Mrs. Joan Yonki and the late Mr. Paul Yonki, West Pittston, and Mrs. Louise Leandri and the late Mr. Joseph Leandri, Exeter.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Emily Zielinski, and her cousin, Christine Tafrow, as her maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Deanna Yonki, sister of the groom, and Kate Gromelski and Melissa Perritti, friends of the bride.
The groom chose his friend, Matthew Felter, as his best man. Groomsmen were Gregory Zielinski, brother of the bride, and Edmund Gromelski and Robert Zielinski, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was the couple’s 11-month-old son, Brayden James.
The couple are 2002 graduates of Pittston Area High School.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and a 2010 graduate of Wilkes University with a master’s degree in educational development and strategies. She is employed at Stroudsburg Area School District as a high school math teacher.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Wilkes University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a 2009 graduate of New York Chiropractic College as a Doctor of Chiropractic. He is self-employed in his practice in the Pittston and Wilkes-Barre areas.
The couple resides with their son in Duryea.
