Amanda Marie Baab and Arthur Matthew Jankowski were united in marriage Oct. 12, 2013, at Saint Jude Parish, Mountain Top, Pa. The Rev. Gerald Shantillo officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of John and Susan Baab, Mountain Top. She is the granddaughter of George L. Baab and the late Dolly Baab, Mountain Top, and the late John and Catherine Jackson, Wyoming.
The groom is the son of Adam and Krystyna Jankowski, Mountain Top. He is the grandson of Antoni Jankowski and the late Cecylia Jankowski, Krakow, Poland, and the late Stefan and Zofia Pietrzyk, Bronczyce, Poland.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose her sister, Amber Baab, as maid of honor. Erin Lee served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Marena Rasmus, cousin of the bride; Kendall Baab, sister-in-law of the bride; Kristin Sweeney, friend of the bride; and Olivia Jankowski and Nicole Jankowski, sisters of the groom. Isabel Baab, niece and godchild of the bride; Adrianna Brink, cousin and godchild of the groom; and Sophia Sweeney, honorary niece of the bride, served as flower girls.
Michael Richwalder, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Chris Buczynski, Patrick Buczynski and Dan Nygren, friends of the groom; John Baab and Kevin Baab, brothers of the bride; and Sal Shandra, cousin of the bride. Carter and Jack Lee, cousins of the bride, served as ring bearers.
Musical selections were performed by Nicole Rasmus and David Baloga. Readings were given by Christopher Mudrick, cousin of the bride, and Monika Brink, cousin of the groom.
The bridal shower was hosted by the mother of the bride at Capriottis, McAdoo. The rehearsal was hosted by the parents of the groom at Kevin’s Restaurant, Kingston. Following the ceremony, an evening cocktail hour and reception were held at Capriottis, McAdoo.
Both the bride and groom graduated from Crestwood High School.
The bride graduated from King’s College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She additionally earned her Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America. She is employed as a gemologist at Baab’s Jewelry Showcase, Mountain Top.
The groom graduated from Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, where he earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He is employed as a clinical pharmacist at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Jankowski honeymooned in the Dominican Republic and reside in Mountain Top.
