Attorney Colleen Alana Horn and Attorney Patrick Joseph Doyle Jr. were united in marriage on Sept. 14, 2013, in St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John C. Lambert. Concelebrant was Monsignor Joseph G. Rauscher.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil G. Horn, Kingston. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. McCarthy, Kingston; Ann Marie Horn, Wilkes-Barre; and the late George N. Horn.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick J. Doyle Sr., Wilkes-Barre. He is the grandson of Theresa Shiner, Hanover Township; the late Frances L. Shiner; Catherine Doyle, Plains Township; and the late Joseph J. Doyle.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a custom-designed Alencon lace gown designed by Jaehee Bridal Altier, New York, featuring a 10-foot train and a 12-foot cathedral veil.
The bride chose her sister, Meghan Upton, as matron of honor and her cousin, Mary Kate Lambert, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shannon Tiedeken, sister of the groom; Kelly McGlynn, cousin of the bride; and Jacqueline Wheatley, Caila Klaiss, Jill Houseknecht, Bridget Keating, Kiera Daly, Emily Dunham, and Annie Donnelly, all friends of the bride. Molly Sontowski, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
The groom chose his brothers, Kevin and Brian Doyle, as his best men. Groomsmen were Daniel Horn, brother of the bride; Nathan Tiedeken, brother-in-law of the groom; and Matthew Schlude, Joseph Saukulyak, Matthew Cooney, Robert Mullery, Colin Burke, William Stolting and Steven Stache, all friends of the groom. Liam Upton, nephew and godson of the bride, and R. Braeden Mullery, godson of the groom, were ring bearers.
Scriptural readings were given by Gary Lambert Jr. cousin of the bride, and Stephen Kagay Jr. cousin of the groom. Offertory gifts were presented by Kathleen McGlynn and John McCarthy, Jr., godparents of the bride, and Sheila Doyle and Frank Shiner, godparents of the groom.
The bride and groom were honored at an engagement party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lambert Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. John McCarthy Jr. at the Westmoreland Club. The bride was honored at a wine-tasting, display shower hosted by the mother of the bride and her attendants at Friedman’s Farm, Dallas. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom in the Rotunda of the Luzerne County Courthouse. An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Lackawanna Station Radisson, Scranton. An after-glow party followed at Trax Platform Lounge. A send-off Mass and brunch was held the following morning.
The bride is a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law. Colleen is employed as a litigation associate at the law firm of Rosenn, Jenkins, and Greenwald, LLP, specializing in commercial litigation.
The groom is a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and the Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Pennsylvania State Dickinson School of Law. Patrick is employed as a trial attorney with the Anzalone Law Offices, specializing in personal injury.
Following a honeymoon to the Four Seasons, Punta Mita and the One & Only Palmilla, Cabo San Juan, the couple resides in Plains Township.
