Janice A. DiPietro and Robert J. Watts were united in marriage on Aug. 11, 2012, at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Scranton, by the Rev. Brian J. T. Clarke.
The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Ann DiPietro, Shavertown. She is the granddaughter of the late Michael and Lucy Petrillo, Dallas, and the late Raymond and Eleanor DiPietro; Swampscott, Mass.
The groom is the son of Gloria Watts, Factoryville. He is the grandson of Adeline Fassett and the late Howard Fassett, Factoryville.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose her friend, Jennifer Mullins, as her maid of honor. Her bridesmaids were Jennifer Watts, sister of the groom, and Renee Stavish and Tennille Bocchiaro.
The groom chose his son, Matthew Williams Watts, as his best man. His groomsmen were Salvatore DiPietro, brother of the bride, and Juan Mendez and Christopher Wilmarth.
Scriptural readings were given by Jennifer Phillips and Chaplain Kraus, friends of the couple. Musical selections were performed by Kathryn Mullins.
The bride was honored by her mother and bridesmaids with a bridal shower held at The Westmoreland Club, Wilkes-Barre. An evening cocktail hour and reception, hosted by the parents of the bride, were held at The Hilton, Scranton.
The bride is a graduate of Wyoming Seminary Upper School and a graduate of St. Joseph’s University, earning her bachelor’s degree. She is an export documentation analyst at Kraft Foods.
The groom is a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School and a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. He is a Military Intelligence Officer and is serving in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as the Commander of Company A 55 Brigade Special Troops Battalion, Danville.
The couple resides in Scranton, Pa.
