Gillian Nordquist and Christopher Roman were united in marriage on Sept. 15, 2012. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John Dromazos at Bucknell University’s Rooke Chapel, Lewisburg, Pa.
The bride is the daughter of Martha Nordquist, Clarkston, Mich., and Steven Nordquist, Okemos, Mich. She is the granddaughter of Ronald and Pauline Nordquist and the late David and Jean Keyes.
The groom is the son of Ed and Kathy Roman, Alden. He is the grandson of Barbara Byorick, Nanticoke, and the late Frank Byorick and the late Rose Mary and Lawrence Roman.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She chose Erin Cranmer-Hart as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Olivia Nordquist, sister of the bride; Carin Roman, sister of the groom; and Nicole Falcaro, Jessica Hibbert and Jennifer Swiderski, friends of the bride and groom.
The groom chose Brian Mooney as best man. Groomsmen were Eric Nordquist, brother of the bride; Kenny Roman, brother of the groom; and Joseph Kuterbach, Kevin Shea and Kat Wakabayashi, friends of the groom.
Scriptural readings were given by Sandra Guthrie, aunt of the bride, and Sandra Bogdon, godmother of the groom. Soloist was Carin Roman, sister of the groom.
The bride was honored at a bridal shower given by the mothers of the bride and groom and bridesmaids at Tea by Two, Bel Air, Md. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at La Primavera, Lewisburg, Pa. An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club, Hummels Wharf, Pa. Following the wedding day, the groom’s godmother, Sandra Bogdon, hosted a breakfast at Bucknell University’s Terrace Room.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Clarkston High School and a 2009 graduate of Bucknell University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish. She is a management analyst with the Department of Defense, U.S. Army, at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and a 2008 graduate of Bucknell University. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. He is attending the University of Delaware to pursue his master’s degree. He is a process engineer at Noramco, Wilmington, Del.
The couple honeymooned in San Francisco, Calif., and Maui, Hawaii. They reside in North East, Md., and will celebrate their first anniversary with a trip to San Francisco, Calif.
