Jackie Flaherty and Bill Finkelstein were united in marriage on Sept. 1, 2013, by the Honorable Paul J. Roberts Jr. at Friedman Farms, Dallas, Pa.


The bride is the daughter of Kathy and Jack Flaherty, Hanover Township. She is the granddaughter of the late Theodore and Helen Yanus, Larksville, and of the late Rose and John Flaherty, East End.


The groom is the son of Dorothy and Jay Finkelstein, Kingston. He is the grandson of Lois Shonk, Kingston, and the late William Shonk, and the late Helen and Maynard Finkelstein, Kingston.


The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. Ashley Flaherty, J.D. candidate, Charlotte, N.C., sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Robbie Flaherty, Hanover Township, brother of the bride, escorted the bride’s mother.


Best man was Michael Finkelstein, Kingston, brother of the groom.


The couple exchanged vows during an outdoor ceremony surrounded by immediate family and closest friends at Friedman Farms, followed by a cocktail hour and reception inside the barn. Catering was provided by Fire & Ice on Toby Creek, Shavertown. Photography was by Kindred Souls Photography, Shavertown. The band, Gone Crazy, provided the music and entertainment for the evening. The couple was honored with an engagement party at King’s College given by the bride’s parents and a rehearsal dinner at the River Grille given by the groom’s parents.


The bride is a graduate of Hanover Area High School. Continuing her education at Luzerne County Community College and Wilkes University, she studied journalism communications, public relations and English. She is employed at Zoës Kitchen, an Alabama-based Mediterranean restaurant concept, as its Greater Philadelphia sales and marketing manager.


The groom is a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. Continuing his education, he studied business at Luzerne County Community College and at Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte, N.C., where he was a cum laude graduate earning a culinary arts degree. Bill is also employed at Zoës Kitchen as a managing operator in Philadelphia.


Immediately following the wedding, the newlyweds vacationed in Lake Anna, Va., and plan to honeymoon in the arctic circle of Finland next year. They recently relocated from Dallas, Texas, and currently reside in Wayne, Pa.
